While liberals are concerned and whine about the conversation between President Trump and former FBI Director Comey regarding the investigation into Michael Flynn, some of the other side are requesting detailed information on Bill Clinton’s airport meeting with former Attorney General Loretta Lynch. This event occurred in time when his wife was under investigation for breaking national security laws.
As the Democrats and the mainstream media continue to wind themselves up over Trump’s discussion with James Comey , Texas Republican Rep. Pete Sessions reminds us all that former president Obama prevented the investigation into the untoward, secretive meeting between Bill Clinton and Comey.
“If the New York Times has [Comey’s memo] that means we’re going to be able to see it and I would assume that would be fair. I assume that Mr. Comey also kept, if he’s disturbed by the same memos, that he gave to or about when Mrs. Clinton’s husband appeared in the jet with the attorney general,” Sessions told The Daily Caller.
“So I assume that memo would be available to us also. And I would assume that we will see a number of disturbing trends that took place at the Department of Justice [during the Obama administration] for whatever he’s claiming and I’ll look forward to seeing all those,” Sessions said.
“But I cannot comment, because I have not seen them but I would assume that Mr. Comey that if he kept one on this visit, evidently, he has others. Now I look forward to seeing those.”
As we can recall, last year in June while FBI Director Comey was looking into then-presidential nominee Hillary Clinton whether she broke the law with her private email server or not, Bill Clinton arranged himself a meeting with former Attorney General Loretta Lynch on her private plane on Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.
Comey himself later admitted that his meeting shouldn’t have happened.
So, as the liberals are going crazy over alleged comments President Trump gave to Comey, Rep. Sessions simply reminds them of the hypocrisy of both the Democrats and the media.
Ultimately, neither the media nor the Democrats were overly concerned with Bill Clinton could get a secret off-the-record, meeting with former Attorney General Loretta Lynch.
