Since last Sunday’s tirade at the Golden Globes against President-elect Donald Trump, leftists all around the country have become very eager declaring actress Meryl Streep commentary as “courageous” and “brave” as she “spoke truth to power” by maintaining earlier-ridiculed “fake news” and other absurdity.

But unlike the liberals, we have drastically different explanation for the word courage, which doesn’t consists of wealthy prosperous elites talking about something they are not familiar with while on a cocktail party.

Instead, the definition of the word courage we look into people such as Iran War veteran and wounded warrior J.R. Salzman, who after Streep’s speech tweeted : “I too hope to one day be as courageous and selfless as Meryl Streep.”

J.R. Salzman is said to have suffered extremely and almost died in an attack, in which while he was driving in his vehicle in Irak, it was destroyed with an Iranian-made explosive device 10 years ago.

Even though he underwent several surgeries in order to repair the damage, Salzman still suffers from the disastrous injuries he got in Irak, which consist of the loss of his right arm under the elbow, absolute loss of his left hand, traumatic brain injury and many others.

Despite the devastating injuries, he kept on going and has become quite active outdoor, as well as in advocating for much-needed and long-overdue reforms to the Department of Veterans Affairs.

True courage and strength comes from the will to help and support others, to sacrifice yourself for the good of someone else. So remind me, what has Meryl Streep actually sacrificed?
