Fox News Channel pulled ads bought by Democrat billionaire donor Tom Steyer which were calling for President Trump’s impeachment not long ago.
According to Conservative Patriot:
“Due to the strong negative reaction to their ad by our viewers, we could not in good conscience take their money,” Fox News told Stelter.
Steyer said in a Friday statement that the network told him on October 31 that it will no longer advertise the commercial titled “Join Us.”
Steyer said the decision “shows no respect for democracy.”
Steyer started his $10 million “Need to Impeach” ad campaign late last month, infuriating Mr. Trump who called him “wacky & totally unhinged.”
In the ad, the billionaire hedge fund operator calls for viewers to sign a petition that would result in Trump’s removal from office. Steyer’s attorney said on Monday that roughly 1.5 million people had signed the petition.
“People in Congress and his own administration know that this president is a clear and present danger, who’s mentally unstable and armed with nuclear weapons, and they do nothing,” Steyer says in the ad that was also released on CNN and other outlets.
Democratic House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, of California, on downplayed the notion that Democrats would want to impeach Trump if they win the House majority in the midterm elections next year.
Pelosi said that Democrats will let the several probes into Trump unfold during an interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper on “State of the Union.”
“I believe that whatever we do, we have responsibility first and foremost to unify the nation,” said Pelosi. “Second of all, you can’t go down any path without the facts and the law. If that’s there, perhaps it will come out in these investigations.”
On Oct. 27, for the first time, the Steyer ad ran during “Fox and Friends,” the morning show closely watched and frequently retweeted by the president. The next day, Trump tweeted his response to the “unhinged” Steyer, calling him a loser but ignoring the ad’s contents.
Wacky & totally unhinged Tom Steyer, who has been fighting me and my Make America Great Again agenda from beginning, never wins elections!

In a statement last week, Steyer said: “millions of people have raised their voices in opposition to Donald Trump.”
“If Fox News is siding with Trump and trying to silence us, they must be afraid of what we have to say. It shows no respect for democracy,” Steyer said.
