During an interview with a German newspaper, billionaire Bill Gates gave a 100 percent accurate statement regarding the refugee crisis in Europe. He said Europe is about to be overwhelmed unless someone takes drastic measures into stopping the flow of incoming refugees.
“On the one hand you want to demonstrate generosity and take in refugees, but the more generous you are, the more word gets around about this — which in turn motivates more people to leave Africa,” as reported by Breitbart.
“Germany cannot possibly take in the huge, massive number of people who are wanting to make their way to Europe,” he added, stressing that, “Europe must make it more difficult for Africans to reach the continent via the current transit routes.”
This marvelous statement by Gates completely crushed the narrative by liberals in the U.S. and Europe that Western nations have responsibility of aiding the refugees. No, they don’t, and if Bill Gates, a liberal philanthropist understands this, why can’t any other liberal?
Last year German Chancellor Angela Merkel made it clear that it was “unacceptable” for members of the European Union to not accept Muslim immigrants.
“What I continue to think is wrong is that some say ‘we generally don’t want Muslims in our country, regardless of whether there’s a humanitarian need or not,’” she told a German news station, as reported by the U.K. Independent. “Everyone must do their part, (and) a common solution must be found.”
We all know what that solution is – sovereignty, the notion that a nation is only responsible for its own citizens and not the rest of the world. Unfortunately, German Chancellor Merkel along with other liberal Democrats don’t understand this.
To ignite the crisis even more, they’ve been using lies to boost their argument for allowing more immigrants into Europe and the U.S. too.
“Countries that refuse refugees are usually damaging their own prospects,” Daniel Altman of Foreign Policymagazine blatantly wrote in an op-ed two years ago. “Refugees are some of the best bets for almost any economy.”
Partially that’s true. Some law-abiding, educated and hard-working refugees with a strong desire to assimilate into their new country, would significantly impact positively any economy. However, for the liberal argument, that is not the truth about every refugee that’s flooding Europe currently. If it were the case, Europe wouldn’t have suffered such rampant crime since the influx began, and its immigrant communities wouldn’t be showing sympathy to terrorist attacks.
And the public cost of subsidizing the refugees’ basic needs would be avoided. As reported by Breitbart, as of 2015, it was estimated that 90 percent of recent refugees to the U.S. from the Middle Eastern nations were collecting welfare of one type or another.
It’s a fact that the majority of the refugees are low-skilled people who need tremendous assistance in order to assimilate into Western societies, if they are willing that is.
